This is the form which produces Attendance related reports. The highlighted areas show the three new/modified reports produced.
Figure 3 Attendance Related Reports Form
Clicking on any of the checkmarks will produce the following results:
1)    Put in the start of the period for which you wish to have a report and click OK.
2)    Put in the end of the period for which you wish to have a report and click OK.

Notice 1: that the example covers all of September.  The program filters out all data not in the range specified, and places into any dates of the month shown on the report “UK” to indicate unknown.
Notice 2: clicking on cancel will return you to the form shown in Figure 3 Attendance Related Reports Form.
3)    After the 2nd OK, the program that produces the reports is started, and the following message appears:
a)    “Cancel” will cancel the operation.
b)    “No” will bring up a dialog which allows you to select the database containing the information for the year you wish to produce a report.
c)    “Yes” will produce the reports shown and discussed here:

·         Teachers Periodic Report by Teacher:
Only a part of the page is shown, and the names have been excised to protect privacy.
Notice:
o   the title of the report is “Teacher Periodic Monthly Report
o   Each person has a table whose label specifies his name, and his school task (Admin, General Studies, etc.)
o   After the table we have the number of days within the period specified that the person was present, absent, sick, etc.
o   We also have the number of school holidays during that period.
Notice also that the period for each teacher depends on when he began to work, and when he was no longer working. So the first teacher worked only for 4 days in the month of September, and because he stopped working, some of the school holidays are marked “UK”.
·         Teachers Period Report by Month.
            Note:
o   Mr. 5 stopped working after a single week
o   Mr. 7 started working at the end of the month and started with 4 school holidays! (SH)
o   Mrs. 11 was absent 3 times.
o   Only dates between Mondays and Fridays when there was school appear on the form.  Since teachers were added to the database as of the 13th of the month, that is where the table begins.
·         Students Period Report
Note:
o   The heading specifies the period of time involved, and the number of school days in that period of time. (A school day is one where the student may attend classes.)
o   There are 3 columns per page
o   The grade and the home room are the headings for each table.
o   The number of students in each homeroom is specified at the bottom of the page.
o   For each student, the number of times he was late, absent and present are specified.
o   Name 3 in table 1 and names 3,4,7, and 9 specifies 0 attendances during this period, no lates or absences which indicate the students were not registered in this class (and possibly the school) during the specified period of time.
